Giải như sau:Giải phương trình $(x^{2}-4)(x^{2}-2x)=2$
Đặt $x-1=t\Leftrightarrow x=t+1$ thay x vào pt ban đầu ta được $(t^{2}+2t-3)(t^{2}-1)=2\Leftrightarrow t^{4}-4t^{2}+2t^{3}-2t+1=0$
Xét t=0 không là nghiệm của pt nên chia 2 vế pt cho $t^{2}$ ta được $t^{2}+\frac{1}{t^{2}}+2(t-\frac{1}{t})-4=0$
Đặt $t-\frac{1}{t}=y\Rightarrow y^{2}+2y-2=0;{\Delta }'=1+2=3\Rightarrow y=-1\pm \sqrt{3}$
TH1: Nếu $y=-1+\sqrt{3}\Rightarrow t^{2}-(\sqrt{3}-1)t-1=0;\Delta =(\sqrt{3}-1)^{2}+4=8-2\sqrt{3}\Rightarrow t=\frac{\sqrt{3}-1\pm \sqrt{8-2\sqrt{3}}}{2}\Rightarrow x=\frac{1+\sqrt{3}\pm \sqrt{8-2\sqrt{3}}}{2}$
TH2: Nếu $y=-1-\sqrt{3}\Rightarrow t^{2}+(\sqrt{3}+1)t-1=0;\Delta =(\sqrt{3}+1)^{2}+4=8+2\sqrt{3}\Rightarrow t=\frac{-\sqrt{3}-1\pm \sqrt{8+2\sqrt{3}}}{2}\Rightarrow x=\frac{1-\sqrt{3}\pm \sqrt{8+2\sqrt{3}}}{2}$
Vậy pt có tập nghiệm $S=\begin{Bmatrix} \frac{1-\sqrt{3}\pm \sqrt{8+2\sqrt{3}}}{2};\frac{1+\sqrt{3}\pm \sqrt{8-2\sqrt{3}}}{2} \end{Bmatrix}$
